Our new flower garden brings vibrant color and new life to Little City Farm while reflecting our commitment to local growing. By growing flowers right here on the farm, we are able to create beautiful, seasonal bouquets for gatherings using flowers grown just steps away, rather than relying on flowers that are transported long distances. The garden also gives us a chance to celebrate the beauty of growing something ourselves and to show how even a small urban space can support a thriving ecosystem.
At the heart of the garden are our bees. Flowers provide bees with the nectar and pollen they need to survive, while the bees return the favor by pollinating the plants and helping the garden flourish. Bees are essential to healthy ecosystems, biodiversity, and the food systems we rely on, making their protection an important part of our approach to sustainability. Through our flower garden and beekeeping workshops, we create a space where people can slow down, learn, and better understand the connection between plants, pollinators, and our earth.
